Brandon Porter - Age 19
Current Resident of Lucedale, Mississippi
Former graduate of East Central High School

Brandon sustained critical injuries in an automobile accident while working in Louisiana. He was transported by Medical Airplane to the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA that specializes in treatment of brain and spinal cord injuries.
Brandon has improved to the point where he has been placed in an apartment near the Shepherd Pathways facility where he goes to rehab daily on an outpatient basis.

August 2, 2003 - Catfish Dinner/Bake Sale Benefit at Howell Community Center
We would like to thank everyone who participated in this event. It was a great success! I did take some pictures and am hoping to get them posted to the site before too much longer. It was great to see the community pulling together to help us put on this benefit.

The drawing was held on September 1, 2003 at TNT video in Hurley. The winner was J. Fillingim of Mobile, AL. Mr. Fillingim asked that his half of the "pot" be donated back to the Brandon Porter Benefit fund. 377 tickets were sold in all! Special thanks to Doris Dupree and Cheryl Helms (TNT Video) for organizing this fundraiser and thanks also go out to everyone who purchased a raffle ticket.
